Day 12.2

For lunch Mike and I went to Ricky's. It's this little tex mex place by work. The foods not the best but they are super fast.
I had the lunch beef fajitas with double beans and no rice with grilled onions and green bell peppers.
I did have 5 chips while we waited.....I know, but they were just sitting there!

Right now for my snack I'm having cottage cheese with pepper. I wish I had some tomato with this.

Not sure what's in store for dinner. My sister is coming to stay with me tonight. We'll have to go someplace that she likes too. I might try to get her to get a pizza at Cool Greens so I can get the tuna salad.
I'll post actual dinner later.

Day 12

Here's breakfast! Eggs with sausage and black beans.
I'm not sure the sausage is 100% okay but I didn't want to just waste it and throw it away.

Day 11.2

I went to Moe's for lunch and got the close talker with chicken. I wish it had more beans!
Not pictured is my dinner. I had a salad I made from the Whole Foods salad bar and I had the lentil soup.

Day 11

I didn't have dinner last night. I wasn't hungry when I got home and then got stuck in South Park. I started to get hungry but the new episode was starting in 10 minutes and decided the new episode was more important than dinner and had a can of tuna with a hard boiled egg and a few tablespoons of peanut butter (not together of course) and water. Turns out it was a good one to watch. I laughed really hard.

On to the food. This morning I had chicken and coffee. I'm getting a bit tired of eggs so I looked up breakfast ideas and found this.

They had some pretty good ideas that I will try soon.

Day 10.2

Here's today's lunch. Same as my dinner, chicken, bell peppers and black beans.

Day 9/10

So I've been pretty bad at not posting. I keep forgetting to take pictures.

Anyway, the bottom picture is from dinner last night. Chicken with bell peppers and black beans.

Breakfast this morning is eggs with smoked paprika and black beans.

Day 8

With this weekend being my birthday weekend I took full advantage of the cheat day. I also forgot to take any pictures! Let's just start back over with today.

Breakfast - Americano with the allotted 2 tablespoons-ish of half and half, eggs and turkey bacon.

Day 5

Today we had to move our office so it really threw me off today.
I didn't eat my breakfast within the one hour window, and then had to partake in the monthly birthday office celebration since I was one of the birthday persons. They decided to do breakfast and I had the top half of a cinnamon bagel with hazelnut cream cheese. I felt horrible and threw the other half away and ate my hard boiled egg.
I had my hair cut last night but when I was getting ready this morning I found a long piece in my bangs so I had to get that fixed on my lunch break. I went to Qudoba and had a naked burrito with pulled pork and guac! Since I was having a sucky day I downed my water during lunch but before I left I refilled it with Diet Coke. Funny how things that aren't normally something I crave but as soon as they become forbidden I get a hankering for them real bad!

I'm not so good at remembering to take the pictures of my meals! I need to remember do this, it's the whole reason I created the blog!

I'm so ready for tomorrow!

Day 4.2

I went to Iron Starr with my mom for lunch. I had the spicy salmon salad. Its not the same amazing salad without the fried onion rings so I had to eat them. There was only five.
Dinner was my egg, avocado and bacon pico. This time I added in some black beans. Very good addition !

Day 4

Here is my new breakfast of champions! Eggs cooked in ghee with black beans and salsa. I added a bit of avocado to this one. Yum!

Day 3.2

Now I know what your thinking.  And your correct that is bread and sweet potato fries on my plate and the drinks are sweet tea vodkas. All I have to say is it was my birthday and its my last time to celebrate my twenties!

Day 3

I didn't wake up in time to make my eggs for breakfast so I'm having what I packed for lunch for breakfast. It's my birthday today so I should at least go out to lunch to celebrate. I forgot to put my hand in the picture but it's the same amount as my dinner last night, even down to the number of meatballs!

Day 2.2

Here is dinner! I made my favorite paleo meatballs (minus the sweet potato) and zucchini slices with tomato sauce.
I don't think the tomato sauce is 100%  perfect. It was leftover from the weekend. Almost like spaghetti...almost.

Another handy dandy

When I was trying to find out if coconut or La Croix was allowed on the 4HB I found this really cool reference site.

http://www.eslowcarbdiet.com/

Day 2

The first shot is breakfast, eggs cooked in ghee with black beans and salsa. Oh! you can see my La Croix can in the shot! That's what they are if any of you were wondering from my previous post.
It's lunch time now and I can tell the beans in the breakfast really helped. Yesterday I had to keep busy so I wouldn't eat lunch too early and I had to wait until 3 to eat my boiled egg so it would last me until after the gym. I don't think I ate enough yesterday.

The second and third shot is lunch. I had a spoonful of the avocado salad this morning and let me tell you it was AWESOME! I will for sure make this again soon. Oh, and  I should let you folks know that at Sunflower they have a sale on roma tomatoes 10 for $10 and avocado 2 for $1. I bought two tomatoes and and avocado and ground beef for dinner tonight for $5! I bought the salad from the deli since I thought the salad wouldn't cut it. Its just lettuce, tomato, and a tad italian dressing.

Tim suggests taking the pictures with your hand so others can see how big the meals actually are. Looking at these shots I look like I have a little kids hand and my fingers look short!

Day 1.3

Here is my dinner from last night. It was the same fajita strips with red onion and green and orange peppers. I cooked black beans in the crock pot while I was at work and added those to my dinner and they turned out really great. Later after dinner I had a La Croix grapefruit sparkling water. Not sure if this is cheating since its only ingredients are carbonated water and natural flavoring....I enjoyed it anyway! I bought a 12 pack of these to try since I love the coconut ones. I'll just try to drink these on my cheat days since they aren't really allowed, dangit!

Day 1.2

So I forgot to take a picture of my lunch, sorry guys!

It was the fajita strips with peppers. Almost done and surprisingly filling even without the beans.
I probably won't take the effort to post this but I brought I hard boiled egg to have as my snack.

Day 1

This first picture is what I got for the week. I had to go to three different stores and ended up forgetting to get a few things on the list so this isn't everything.
In the book Tim said to go to whole foods to get your spices. Well, the smoked paprika you have to buy by the pound...that's what the little baggy atop the peppers is. I got what I thought would be a good trial amount and it was 37 cents. It will probably be the only time I walk out that store not halfway regretting what I bought. The macadamia oil was a pretty large bottle for 15 bucks and I'm not sure if I should get it or not. I have a huge thing of olive oil that I might just use until I feel the need to try the macadamia oil. I searched forever for the white truffle sea salt but I never found it. I went to sunflower and found they had little spice bottles of smoked paprika for 3 bucks! They didn't have the special salt either, shoot!

Last night to prepare for day 1 I hard boiled 5 eggs and cooked the fajita strips with red onion and a green and orange pepper. I rinsed my beans and set them in the fridge to soak. All that cooking late at night made me hungry so I had one of my hard boiled eggs and tried the smoked paprika. It was pretty tasty!

The second shot is my breakfast. The avocados I bought are not ready so I will have to wait to add those in the mix. And I didn't think about getting a can of beans for my breakfast and lunch so today will be not a complete perfect day 1. Tim suggested using ghee when cooking your eggs which after spending 8 bucks on a tub of fancy butter it better be amazing...and it pretty much was. Normally the last few bites I have to force myself to eat but not this time. My eggs actually tasted like eggs if that makes any sense.

Scratching the surface

Once my friends found out I was going to try the 4HB they asked me about the rules and as soon as I said "red wine allowed" and "entire cheat day" they wanted in.
I have made a few lists to go by. One is a meal planner with a shopping list at the bottom to help you plan out your week. The second is a food guideline. By all means what's on the list is not the only thing that's allowed. This is just a short go to list. Tim states its best if you keep it really simple the first week or even few weeks to keep from giving up and getting loose on the rules.
While looking up the food guidelines I found a few good sites that I plan to keep in my 4HB arsenal.

Good site with cheat sheets:

The measure in...

Sitting here I just realized I didn't weigh myself last night...doh! I'll have to do that next time I'm at the gym.
Anyway, I was actually surprised at my measurements. They were actually pretty close to what they were when my friends and I did the "I want your bod" challenge.
Here they are.

Left arm - 12.5"
Right arm - 12.5"
Left leg - 23.55"
Right leg - 24.25"
Hips - 41.00"
Waist - 33.5"

For starters

I’m starting this to keep track with my new diet I’m starting. Many of you might have heard of the 4 hour body. I plan to post every meal along with a picture in hopes I’ll stick to the plan. It doesn’t s tart till next monday but I will post my starting measurements tomorrow…gulp.
This will be the first time I truly track my diet plan. Kinda makes me nervous at the thought of keeping up with these postings. Hopefully I get some followers as I will have tons of questions.
Stay tuned…
